RFK [Track 14] | The Power of Raw Truth: RFK, MLK, and The Rebirth of Hope
The thing to understand about this clip is that this was Bobby Kennedy without a prompter or anything prepared to address the crowd. If you watch or hear the original footage, you can hear someone tell Bobby that Dr. King is dead, and within a few seconds, Robert is up on the podium, reminding people of MLK's message. I thought this to be an especially poignant addition to the album, considering The Rebirth of Hope and Bobby's use of Aeschylus, an Ancient Greek playwright.
Bobby gave the speech in Indianapolis, and although there were riots in cities across the country that night, none broke out in Indianapolis.
