Love and Respect [Track 22] | Defining the Ideal Partner: Finding Love in a Insane World

Reassessing the Sanctuary of Love - May 2026

Looking back at my 2011 archives brings me back to a pivotal moment when I was mapping out the foundational values of my music and philosophy. I was breaking down the lyrics to a song that explored the concept of an ideal partner and what it truly means to hold deep love and respect for women. Over the last fifteen years, the world around us has grown increasingly complex and demanding. Yet, revisiting these raw reflections reminds me that the core human desire for a genuine sanctuary has never changed. I have spent years analyzing how our social environments shape our minds, and this track was an early blueprint of that journey.

Reversing Cynicism Through Connection

Today, my perspective has deepened through a heavy focus on social psychology and the systemic pressures that impact how we connect. It is incredibly easy to let a cynical view of society pull us under, especially when looking at the systemic dysfunctions of our modern world. True love isn't just about an emotional escape; it is a conscious decision to build a mental stronghold with someone who completely understands your mind. I dissect these exact psychological dynamics and cultural relationship shifts all the time over at SociologyOfLove.com. When you find a partner who helps you reverse that natural cynicism, you gain the clarity needed to navigate a chaotic reality together.

The Independent Path to Alignment

This tight intersection of deep philosophy and conscious art is exactly what drives my entire creative catalog. If you want to see how these core values translate into my music and independent strategy, head over to the LyceumRecordz.com blog to see posts about Eric’s albums and Eric’s business perspective. Building an independent path requires an aligned community, which is why I keep my deepest insights focused on those who value the work. Let’s travel back fifteen years to look at the original breakdown of what an ideal connection meant to me from the very start.

Original 2011 Post: Love, Respect, and the Ideal Girl

This song represents a theme that is present in Lyceum Recordz, and that is Love & Respect for women.

In this song, I am talking about the ideal girl for me. "She get me high, when I come by." Here, I am talking about how she makes me feel. I'm NOT saying that the girl for me literally gets me high all the time. Instead, I should feel high when I'm around her because her smile makes me wild. Naturally, that makes me want to be closer to her emotionally and sexually (and "make her body cry").

The first verse is about me meeting a girl I'm crazy about and deciding it would be okay if I "fell into her" and became closer. The second verse is me realizing I am in love with this girl because of the way she makes me feel (i.e., "butterflies in my stomach" and a "feel'n of heaven"). The third verse is implicitly stating that we got married and we work on our relationship every day, so we have no problems/frustrations.

The fourth verse explains why we love each other. I open her heart "like Jon of Arc" and make her see the good things in life, in light of the pain and suffering. And she's the "girl on earth" who makes my cynical "world reverse" because when I'm with her, "the sea of insanity that imprisons humanity" is mute compared to what I feel for her.
