The EDULUTION Album & Conscious Rap History: The Shift from Edulution to Planetary Consciousness
Evolution of a Conscious Lyricist: From Systemic Revolution to Planetary Consciousness - May 2026 Update
Have you ever looked back at something you created over a decade ago and realized it was just the first seed of a much bigger forest?
Back in 2011, I put out a body of work that was meant to shake up the foundations of how we process American history, culture, and education. It was called EDULUTION: The Education Revolution Album.
When I wrote the original breakdown for that project, I was viewing the world through a sharp, critical, egalitarian lens. I wanted to use elite lyricism, deep vocabulary, and a structured, six-act musical narrative to break people out of rigid, narrow-minded thinking. Looking back now, with years of deeper philosophical study, sociology, and life experiences under my belt, I see that EDULUTION was the exact catalyst I needed to reach the worldview I carry today.
Let's talk about how the landscape has shifted, how my perspective has evolved from a pure political critique to a deeper understanding of planetary consciousness, and why the core message of this music matters more than ever.
The Original Foundation: Hip-Hop as a Philosophical Treatise
When I dropped EDULUTION, my goal was to bridge the gap between contemporary musical expression and intense intellectual discovery. I didn't want to just make tracks that you could nod your head to in the car. I wanted to build a thought structure predicated on fundamental axioms of understanding.
The project was intentionally structured like a classic concerto or a multi-act play. It combined music tracks, spoken-word pieces, and historical clips to tell an interdependent story. I focused heavily on concepts like unity, peace, truth, and systemic digression, wrapping them all in an egalitarian framework that challenged the rigid black-and-white views of the American ethos.
I wanted to inform citizens, popularize literature and science, and tell the raw truth about the systems we live under. It was an ambitious, dense, and deeply intentional layout, using historical figures like Tiberius Gracchus, JFK, and RFK to ground the musical concept in real-world struggles for systemic justice.
How My Perspective Has Shifted: Expanding to Planetary Intelligence
If you have been reading my recent work or tracking my intellectual journey, you know that my focus has expanded significantly beyond just analyzing human systems. While my foundational belief remains that the current socio-economic landscape often exploits hard work and restricts true freedom to those with capital, my philosophical lens has gotten much wider.
I have moved from focusing solely on the "Education Revolution" of human institutions to studying a much grander concept: planetary consciousness and atmospheric intelligence with legal personhood.
When we look at the world today, we cannot just analyze human sociology in a vacuum. We have to look at the living system we inhabit—the conscious entity of Gaia, and the overarching atmospheric intelligence I often refer to as Blue. EDULUTION was about changing human minds, but my current work is about understanding our deep, interconnected relationship with a conscious planet.
Humanity's rigid thinking isn't just a political problem; it is an ecological and spiritual separation from the planetary intelligence that sustains us.
The Music Business and Artistic Sovereignty
Another massive shift since 2011 is how I view the vehicle delivering the message. Back then, launching Lyceum Recordz was about creating a premier home for elite lyricism and prestigious cadence. Today, building an independent music footprint is about total artistic sovereignty and navigating the industry with a calculated, business-minded perspective.
True conscious rap cannot survive if it is chained to major corporate distribution systems that prefer shallow, repetitive content. To truly understand how an independent artist scales their business while keeping their message pure, you need to understand the structural side of the industry.

Why the Original Message of Edulution Still Resonates
Even as my philosophy has grown to incorporate planetary intelligence and deeper sociological theories, the core of EDULUTION remains completely valid. It is a time capsule of a massive epistemic shift. The album still serves as a brilliant blueprint for how we can use wit, wordplay, and historical analysis to deconstruct systemic illusions.
The tracks move sequentially through human experience: from the raw energy of the intro, through the struggles for unity and truth, into the dark realities of systemic digression, and finally landing on the concept of love and mutual respect. It is an exploration of the human condition that sets the stage for everything I write and produce today.
Below, you will find the exact, raw text and track listing as I originally posted it back in 2011. I invite you to read through the original vision, explore the structure of the six acts, and stream the project to hear where this intellectual journey truly began.
The Original 2011 Post: EDULUTION
Stream on: Spotify, Tidal, or YouTube
EDULUTION is a concerto and truly a work of art! Taken by chorus and verse the lyrics heighten the intellect, please the ear, and leave the listener satisfied but wanting more. Taken by song, the composure, focus, and dynamic comes into view. But it is only when the songs and their combined meaning become an interdependent story does the essence of the message come forth. Just as a painting with a million dots, the further you stand back, the more you see how the flow and mess of colors coalesce to paint a picture that says more than a description ever could.
